Tonight's games

Independance Bowl 12/28
Oklahoma St (-3) over Alabama
Both teams underachieved this year, but Ok St's offense should carry them.
Oklahoma St 31 Alabama 21

Holiday Bowl 12/28
Texas A&M (+3) over California
This will be one of the best games of the bowl season. Watch for A&M to try to control the game on the ground.
Texas A&M 30 California 27

Texas Bowl 12/28
Rutgers (-9) over Kansas St
This game shouldn't be very close. RU defense will shut Kansas St down with Ray Rice running the ball to control the game
Rutgers 24 Kansas St 10

6-0!

Maybe I should quit my day job and pick College Football games all the time. Hit last night's game on the head, 31-14 C.Michigan. Spooky!

More Bowl picks

Motor City Bowl 12/26
Central Michigan (-7 1/2) over Middle Tennessee St
Look for Central Michigan QB Dan LeFevour to have a big day. C. Mich just has much better talent to lose this one.
Central Michigan 31 Middle Tennessee St 14

Emerald Bowl 12/27
UCLA (-3 1/2) over Florida St
Florida St underachieved most of the year and are lucky to even be in a bowl game. Never settling in on a QB didn't help, and a poor kicking game against a very good UCLA defense doesn't bode well for the Semenoles.
UCLA 20 Florida St 10

Favre should retire

Watching last night's game, and really all season, Brett Favre is a shadow of his former self. I really hope he doesn't try to hang on another year. He may still have something left on his fastball, but most are just fat pitches and his gunslinger attitude doesn't work in today's game. He threw over 50 times last night, got picked twice on bad throws(One returned for a TD), and his decision making isn't what it used to be. Not to mention he has one guy to throw to that can catch in Driver, and he's usually double covered. The Packers may have 7 wins, but it hasn't been his doing. It's time to hang em up Brett, don't let the last memories of you be interceptions run back that cost your team the game.

College Bowl games!

I love Christmas time. It means that the College Bowl Season is upon us! Here are my picks for the games through Christmas. I'll post the other games over the weekend. Merry Christmas!

New Orleans Bowl 12/22
Troy (+4 1/2) over Rice
This should be a close game, Rice's option game will control the tempo but Troy will stay in the game due to a subpar Rice defense and a decent QB in Omar Haugabook.
Rice 23 Troy 20

Papajohns.com Bowl 12/23
South Florida (-4 1/2) over East Carolina
Matt Grothe's legs will give South Florida the edge in this one along with alot of experience from a big Big East win over West Virginia this year.
South Florida 27 East Carolina 21

New Mexico Bowl 12/23
San Jose St (+3 1/2) over New Mexico
Home field advantage won't help here, San Jose St is just the better team. With no real passing game New Mexico will have a tough time running against the San Jose St defense, who hung in with a tough Boise St team this year.
San Jose St 23 New Mexico 17

Armed Forces Bowl 12/23
Utah (-1) over Tulsa
Expect a shootout with the Utes pulling it out at the end.
Utah 37 Tulsa 31

Hawaii Bowl 12/24
Hawaii (-7) over Arizona St
Colt Brennan is a stud, and Hawaii doesn't let up when they're winning. Take the over also.
Hawaii 52 Arizona St 27
